Signage for Hammamet and for Sousse is clear from the slip road, but both directions are taken at the same interchange — check your sign before committing, as turning back costs a good ten kilometres.

Flight times and driving

Many charters land early in the morning or late at night. After dark the A1 is the right choice: lit in sections, wide and predictable. Avoid the back roads of the interior after nightfall. In season, the approaches to Yasmine Hammamet and the Sousse corniche are saturated in the late afternoon — if you land then, add twenty minutes to any estimate.
